Pure Joy

Today I was hanging out with my neighbor Ryan. He is in 6th grade, and is borderline autistic. He is also the happiest person i know.

I met him when I was in 3rd grade, and he was in 1st. He came up to me and indroduced himself . I would have never thought this, but today, he is one of my best friends, he is one of the sweetest people I have ever know. He finds joy, in everything.

Today he was out in our culdisac, and he was sweeping rocks. I saw him over there and i decided to go over and hang out with him. He warmed me with the biggest hug, like he always does. He told me about his day, and what he was doing tonight. Then i asked him if he wanted to go jump on my trampoline. He nearly exploded with exitment. Ryan ran inside and told his mom and without waiting for me he runs to my backyard and hops right on to the tramp.

This made me think.

What if I was joyfull for every little thing in my life?

What if instead of going into 6th hour civics with a negative aditude i go into it with the aditude of having it be a new learning expirience. What if I got exited about taking a half an hour out of my social life to sit and the table with my family and eat dinner. What if i had joy about jumping on a trampoline? What if..

There are tons of what ifs...but none of those what ifs are gonna change anything.

So from today forward. Im gonna be joyfull about everything. Have the glas is half full rather then half empty aditude.

Today Im gonna be like Ryan.
